Administrators Marcos 4,704 Posted September 21, 2015 Administrators Share Posted September 21, 2015 ESET does not install Windows 10 updates. It's operating system itself that is responsible for downloading updates; we only take the information about available updates to notify the user if some are missing. TomFace 539
Hello mantra. Take a look at this. Microsoft is being very pushy. https://forum.eset.com/topic/5941-microsoft-is-downloading-windows-10-to-your-machine-just-in-case/ and...https://forum.eset.com/topic/5959-w-update-when-downloading-eset-update/ https://forum.eset.com/topic/5870-nod32-and-windows-update-notification/ I'd hide the update (right click on it) and change your windows update settings to "check for updates but let me decide on what to download and install". Administrators Solution Marcos 4,704 Posted September 21, 2015 Administrators Solution Share Posted September 21, 2015 I see. You had a version not compatible with Windows 10 installed. This is an auxiliary tool to ensure smooth upgrade to a compatible version if you upgrade to Windows 10 some day.
