EAV 9.0.117.0 on W10 x64 build 10532

Recommended Posts

Tried to install on W10 x64 build 10532 and failed. Still the same problem as before. After installation all HTTPS is disabled. Even EAV is unable to connect to activation servers. Is it known issue?

Hello Raptor,

The latest build of Windows 10 supported by our products is 10240, i.e. the official release build. We gradually prepare support for the upcoming builds, but they may not be supported while they are still just 'preview' builds.

Thank you for your understanding.

T.

The latest build of Windows 10 which is supported is 10240. Most likely you've opted for insider builds (fast ring updates) which are not currently supported. We've already explained elsewhere that such builds will be partially supported in the future.

Great timing 12:48 - 12:49

Mmm already explained elsewhere - and will probably need to be explained a few times more at least before it's all over and done. :D

I almost think it would save a lot of time, effort and frustration if the installer detected the current build of Windows 10 and gave the stated explanation. However, not being a programmer I'm probably wrong. Of course a quick search of the forums would display the answer as well.

The issue with "incompatible" Win10 builds (published to Fast ring) will be solved in final v9 release.

Martin, Thanks for the reply. It was just my lame attempt to offer a suggestion. I apologize for the taking up of your time.

I'll be sticking with Windows 7 for the indefinite future.

That's good to hear Martin :)

I'm reluctant to leave the Fast Ring yet as for me Windows 10 build 10532 is far faster and more stable than the RTM build 10240.

Yes thank god! I'm using fast ring and miss using ESET because its incompatible and buggy on fast builds.

  • 2 weeks later...

installs and runs on W10 10537 but won't validate the beta license

Windows 10 build 10537 is a leaked build and it's inadvisable to use it.

The latest official Windows Insider build is 10547.
