Looking for something on the log i found this: "Software installation failed: Package not found"

Interesting because 20 PC's had the Endpoint install and reporting OK!

Hi flaviofranca,

Is the issue present only on one PC, or are all your PCs affected? Also, is there any other connection problem mentioned in the log before the few lines you copied?

Also, make sure the Server and Agent are both updated, as there could be a collision with different versions.

Regards,

T.

Does manual installation using an msi file work? I assume it will fail too as the problem is likely that an older version of the ESET product was installed but the original msi file is not available any more. How was the older version deployed?

I install the server ERA last week, downladed at official site.

- ESET Remote Administrator (Server), versão 6.1.444.0

- ESET Remote Administrator (WebConsole), versão 6.1.334.0

All new PC's connected were having this issue. It didn't receive any task from the eset server.

The Firewall is desactivated.

I didn't find anything more anormal on the log.

I was installing with Agent Live (with a little mod. The Agentx86/x64 are downloaded from my local server and not from Internet). The agent version is: 6.1.444.

The agent was deployed correctly and status OK.

The problem is with the tasks that failed everytime.

Yesterday I installed in another Pcs with no problem.

Tks

We recently released ERA 6.2 which provides improvements for various scenarios (see the changelog), so I recommend to use the component upgrade task to get all the components to the latest version and then try the installation once again.

Tks Tomas

After update the ERA Server and the Agent the installation came back to do it.

I have this same problem, but doing the components upgrade still won't remotely install Endpoint. I tried installing it manually on one machine and that worked, but I would rather not do that for every machine. Is there something wrong with the repository or is there anything else I can try?

Hello,

in most cases error "package not found" means that package you selected during software installation task wizard is no longer available in repository (maybe it was older version?). Please try to edit your software installation task and re-select package you are trying to install + re-run it on client.
