Is there a need for a security program for Windows Phone 8?

 

I know that in comparison of the other platform, we are not popular but, will Eset do one ?

No, Windows Phone 8 limits applications to such an extent that no traditional antivirus program with real-time protection can be created for it.

Since ESET is primarily an antivirus and not in device or software management this will probably not be something they will be working towards. If Microsoft changes its stance on real-time scanners and virus detection this may be something they will look into as a secondary to the AV.

ESET USSD Control is just simple utility, which was quickly developed in order to prevent exploiting of USSD feature on some Android based devices.

This issue was specific for Android OS so there would be no use for it on Windows 8 phone.

If I may confirm,... There are no known "HARMFUL" infections to date that anyone knows of for windowphone 8 on the basis that windowsphone8 architecture is so locked down and limited ?
