ESET Smart Security 8 enabling network after reboJeffot.

Hello,

  I have blocked all network traffic using ESET SS8 and noticed it enables it again after a restart. Is there any way to prevent this from within ESET? I would like to have control over network access and it's more convenient with ESET than disabling my NIC card. Also having it automatically enable itself kinda creeps me out.

If you don't need the firewall, you can simply uninstall ESS and install EAV as your license covers both products. Alternatively, you can switch the firewall integration to "Only scan application protocols" in the advanced setup. Anyways, by disabling the firewall you'll also lose Botnet protection that can detect communication of malicious bots over a botnet.
