beancounter 6
I am currently staying in an hotel (in Prague coincidentally) with a laptop connected to the hotel's Wifi network and ESET Smart security has reported multiple times that a duplicate IP address has been detected and an ARP cache poisoning attack has been detected. What is the danger here and what should I do about it?
Administrators Marcos 5,406 Posted August 2, 2015 Administrators Share Posted August 2, 2015 It's a problem with their network that multiple devices are assigned the same IP address. There should be no security issues even if that was an actual attack and not just a network misconfiguration as long as it is detected.
