To exclude folders/files see this article,  How do I exclude certain files or folders from Real-time scanning? but please take in mind that excluding a program does also mean that you exclude it from Real time scanning, and as such should be only used with caution.

Exclusion working fine on Win8 x64. Just make sure you no no app is not running at time of exclusion b/c then. Yes it will get what is running in mem at the time.

Exclusions are applied only to files on a disk. Please post the appropriate threat log record here.
