zackliu 2 Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Hello, We have a web content filtering system that require a user to authenticate before they can access internet. We have installed ESET Remote Administrator 6, agents, and Endpoint Security 6. I want to know what ESET's URLs to whitelist (so that no user authentication is needed to download updates, activation task and new software releases from ESET) Is hxxp://*.eset.com sufficient for virus definition update, activation, and software releases? Please advise, Zack
Administrators Marcos 5,731 Posted May 7, 2015 Administrators Posted May 7, 2015 Please refer to the following KB article for a list of addresses that ESET products connect to: hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN332.
zackliu 2 Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 Thanks Marcos, Just another question, Is it possible to have our internal web servers host MSI installers for Endpoint products and use that URL (like hxxp://ourinternalservers.local/ees_nt32_enu.msi) to perform Software Installation task? If possible, then whitelisting is not needed since I setup an Apache Proxy that can do activation and virus definition updates..... Zack
zackliu 2 Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 Turns out that it is possible to put the MSI installers in our internal web servers for product installation task.
