ESET Endpoint Antivirus and ESET Endpoint Security version version 5.0.2242.0 have been released and are available to download.

Changelog:

• Fixed: BSOD when powering off computer with specific software installed on Windows XP
• Fixed: Scheduled task that should be triggered by detection does not run
• Fixed: Interactive firewall windows appears even though Policy based mode is applied from ERA
• Fixed: Firewall rules return to default occasionally
• Fixed: Some devices are not recognized when Device control is enabled

Known Issues:

• Support for ESET Endpoint products installed on Microsoft Windows 8
  • Security notifications are not displayed in the Windows 8 environment.
  • Multiple notifications about creation of new rules when in "Learning mode" of ESET Personal Firewall

  Solution: To run the ecmd.exe command line utility, click Yes in the Action Center dialog window.

   

• Blue screen error (BSOD) occurs when using version 1.1 Microsoft Windows Automated Installation Kit (AIK) to create an ISO image from SysRescue on Microsoft Windows Preinstallation Environment (WinPE).

  Solution: BSOD is caused by a bug in version 1.1 Microsoft Windows Automated Installation Kit.

   

• Incorrect priority of 'ESET: Computer shutdown after scan' window.
