Hi

what setting controls the display language of server security?

os/display lang/region has not been changed.

we did see a sudden change in the display language for some non-persistent devices.

The product language can be changed only by uninstalling and reinstalling the product.

hm

i don't believe so, because the same image is used for multiple groups of devices and the display language is only wrong for servers residing in some OU's

The product language can be selected at the beginning of the installation or via the msi parameters PRODUCT_LANG or PRODUCT_LANG_CODE. The language cannot be changed once the ESET security product has been installed.

how do you explain this?

language during install was english, this was generated this morning as a test.

sadly i forgot to take a screenshot of the UI in the same language, and now it has reverted to english again.

If you chose English during the installation, the product should be installed in English.

If it's an email notification which is in a different language and the GUI is in English, it could be caused by a changed language code in the registry. As I wrote, the product language cannot be changed without reinstalling the product in a different language.

Please provide logs collected with ESET Log Collector and also raise a support ticket so that the case is tracked.
