yongsua 16
May I know do you have any other security software installed in your system? It might be preventing ESET to load properly. Kindly wait for Marcos or other moderators to solve your issue.

It looks I'm not the only one who suffer from this.Hope ESET fix this as soon as they can Searched through the forum and found many others got the same problem see below topics. https://forum.eset.com/topic/3722-eset-ss8-freeze/?hl=%2Bgui+%2Bfreeze https://forum.eset.com/topic/2609-scan-menu-missing-in-eset-smart-security/ https://forum.eset.com/topic/3174-ess-gui-eguiexe-freezes-at-tab-scan-computer/

Does it mean there will be a module update coming soon? No not a module, this is not "fixable" in any module, it's one of those problems they can't fix and release a new module, instead it will be included as a fix in the next build release of the product. It should be stated in the change-log once the build is released.

SweX 871
Yes exactly, e.g 8.0.304.0 --> 8.0.317.0.... First it will probably be available as a manual download from the website as usual, with possibility to update from within the GUI to follow later on. rugk 397
What should I say. All of you perfectly explained this. Even the link to my original report was already given, so there you should find everything you need. Just another link as there is another explanation for the version numbers (because there was some confusion about this before): https://forum.eset.com/topic/3471-version-80304/ Edited March 13, 2015 by rugk
