Kirk A 0 Posted November 20 Posted November 20 I cannot seem to figure this out, MacBook with Sequoia 15.1.1 and ESET Cyber Security 8.2.800.0. I've done a clean install on ESET, added/removed printer(an older Brother laser) many times, but it throws an error of "The printer is in use". I can only seem to add printer when I turn off ESET firewall, printer is on wife's desktop(also has the latest ESET and Sequoia 15.1.1) which I access over Wi-Fi network. My computer will print if I connect via USB direct. Any help would be appreciated. Quote
lllusion 1 Posted November 21 Posted November 21 ESET Cyber Security 8.2.800.0 is not playing well with macOS 15.1.1. There's something very odd about the ESET Firewall and this macOS. Quote
Devon-Terry 0 Posted Thursday at 07:38 AM Posted Thursday at 07:38 AM I have seen the same problem on a brand new iMac running the latest version of macOS 15 and ESET Cyber Security. On my old MacBook Pro the only way I can now print is to uninstall the ESET Cyber Protect software. So you are not alone with this issue. Quote
ESET Staff Robertos 64 Posted Thursday at 10:09 AM ESET Staff Posted Thursday at 10:09 AM Hello, We are currently investigating the issue. In the meantime, you can uninstall only the firewall using the component uninstallation, re-run onboarding wizard and disable the firewall until we find a solution. Thank you for your patience! ESET Staff Robertos 64 Posted Thursday at 04:06 PM ESET Staff Posted Thursday at 04:06 PM Hello, Please verify the version of the configuration module. A version of 2155.1 or newer is required for the proper functioning of the home firewall. You can check the version through the GUI, though please note that the GUI needs to be restarted after the module is updated. Alternatively, you can check the version via the terminal using the following command: /Applications/ESET\ Cyber\ Security.app/Contents/MacOS/upd -l | grep "Configuration module" Thank you! ESET Staff Robertos 64 Posted Thursday at 08:15 PM ESET Staff Posted Thursday at 08:15 PM If you're still experiencing issues after ensuring you're using the correct version of the configuration module, we recommend performing a clean installation of the product: Uninstall the product from your system. Restart your Mac. Reinstall version 8.2.800.0. Set up the product again, including re-creating any custom firewall rules if applicable from your previous installation. This process should help resolve any lingering issues. Peter Randziak 1 Quote
