Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding ESET's scanning capabilities, specifically about network drives. Is it possible to exclude network drives from being scanned by ESET (both on macOS and on Windows ESET Endpoint Security)

Additionally, if this is the case can this exclusion be feasible for clients managed through the ESET Protect web console?

For those clients that are not managed via the console, what steps need to be taken during installation to ensure that this exclusion persists?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You can disable scanning of network drives either locally or in a policy in the real-time protection setup:

On the local client of macOS is there an option to do it ?

I assume it depends on what version you have. The latest version of Endpoint for macOS is managed primarily via ESET PROTECT and has minimal local settings in the gui.

What about ESET Antivirus 6.x and 7.x ?
