ESET Mail Security 11.0.10008.0 On Server 2016/Exchange 2016 on premises - Failing transport rules

Fairly new eset customer here.
Been running ESET Mail Security 11.0.10008.0 On Server 2016/Exchange 2016 on premises for a little over a month now.
I've been pleased. Last months WU cycle was uneventful.

Last night I installed the 2024-11 Cumulative Update for Windows Server 2016 for x64-based Systems (KB5046612), Security Update For Exchange Server 2016 CU23 (KB5044062), and 2024-11 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 4.8 for Windows Server 2016 for x64 (KB5046266).

It didn't take me long to realize that my couple of very basic transport rules (external email subject line notification & a bcc) were failing to fire.
What did take a while to figure out that they seem to be failing while eset "mail transport protection" was enabled.

I've been troubleshooting all day. I haven't tried a re-install of ESET as of yet.
Worthwhile? Has anyone else seen anything similar?

I have not opened a ticket. Further discussions have popped up, MS, reddit. This does not APPEAR to be Eset related.

Microsoft is aware of the issue now and has pulled the SU.
They will re-release when the problem is corrected.

Waiting to know if I'll need to uninstall the old SU before installing the re-release.
That wouldn't make me nervous at all. (types sarcastically)
