bentham 5 Posted November 12 Posted November 12 There was a modules update earlier today, after which I've been experiencing slowdowns with windows explorer. Opening or selecting folders takes a lot longer and also some files (it seems mainly image ones). If I pause protection, or turn off scanning on opening file (even though I'm only selecting them) the problem goes away. Is anyone else having this problem and is this a known issue? Quote
bentham 5 Posted November 13 Author Posted November 13 UPDATE - I uninstalled 0patch and the issue went away - looks like a new conflict between the two applications. Quote
Administrators Marcos 5,468 Posted November 14 Administrators Posted November 14 I've installed 0patch free but did not notice any difference in response with real-time protection enabled and disabled when using Windows Explorer. Did you have a paid version of 0patch installed and applied all patches? Quote
bentham 5 Posted November 14 Author Posted November 14 (edited) No, it was the free version. I'll try reinstalling it at some point, in case it was a temporary issue, I don't want to mess things up just yet though while it seems to be working ok. EDIT - ok I reinstalled 0patch free. The slow opening folders issue is back, but (for now) the slow file selection issue hasn't returned. I'll see if things change when 0patch finishes synchronizing patches. bentham 5 Posted November 14 Author Posted November 14 EDIT 2 (couldn't edit original post) - yes the file selection issue is back now too. I'll uninstall 0patch again for now as it is obviously less important that ESET. Quote
