MHRSFI 1 Posted November 12 Posted November 12 (edited) I’ve been experiencing a frustrating issue where the keyboards on our network workstations are typing gibberish randomly. This occurs regardless of whether we’re in a browser using Microsoft Office or even when the computer is locked and I’m trying to type in a password The problem is happening on computers running Windows 10 and Windows 11 I couldn’t pinpoint the cause of this issue until I came across this Reddit post suggesting that ESET Secure Browser was responsible for similar problems As a test I disabled this feature on couple of my clients systems and after a week the issue completely disappeared Currently our clients are using ESET Endpoint Security version 11.1.20.52 but the Reddit post I found was from an older version Home product I would appreciate any suggestions on how to fix this problem permanently. PS. I found this KB article but it didn’t resolve my issue Edited November 12 by MHRSFI Add KB link Quote
Administrators Marcos 5,468 Posted November 12 Administrators Posted November 12 As the name suggests, Secure browser concerns browsers and not other applications so even if you have another key scrambler installed, only browsers should be affected. In such case, disabling keyboard protection in the Secure browser setup should help. You can provide logs collected with ESET Log Collector to find out what other application clashes with keyboard protection. Quote
