11.1.2052.0 Outlook Add-in causing freezing in Outlook Classic on Windows 11 23H2

Had a user this morning where Outlook Classic was freezing every 10 or seconds for roughly a minute at a time. Outlook worked fine in safe mode. Quick/Online Repair didn't help. New mail profile didn't help. Disabled every add in besides ESET, issue persisted. Tried the 11.1.2039.2 fix by disabling "Add recipient addresses from outgoing messages" which didn't help.

Finally disabled Outlook Integration in ESET and Outlook performance is back to normal.

Anyone else seeing something similar?

Please raise a support ticket since further logs will be needed for perusal. The issue has been reported to developers already.

Yes I notice the same performance issues. There's a setting under web and email that helps some for me - turn off "use advanced spam scanner".

Having the same exact issue as Steeltown. In our enviroment it seems to only affect those with Outlook/Exchange Online archives open in the Outlook client. Disabling the "Integrate into Microsoft Outlook and "Advanced email client processing" fixes the issue.

Is there a link to the issue that has already been raised? @macros

This will be fixed in Endpoint v12 which is planned for release in December as well as in the next v11.1 hotfix scheduled for January 2025.

Yes, I have a same issue. I have using Outlook 2021 POP3 email with .pst archives file. I have following @Yazoo your instruction to disable the "Integrate into Microsoft Outlook and "Advanced email client processing" which didn't help.

To get my Outlook back to normal, is there any other feature I need to turn off? @MarcosPlease advise. Thanks,

Does the issue actually go away if you temporarily uninstall ESET and return as soon as you install the latest version with default settings?

I did not attempt to uninstall and reinstall ESET. But I have tried disabling 'Enable Mailbox Protection'. My Outlook will be back to normal. Whenever I enable 'Enable Mailbox Protection', Outlook will freeze for roughly a minute each time.

There are probably 2 distinct problems. Does enabling integration with Outlook and disabling mail transport protection make a difference?

I am not able to comprehend this question either. Now that I have temporarily disabled 'Enable Mailbox Protection', my Outlook will return to normal.

I would appreciate it if you could assist in resolving this bug issue as soon as possible. Thank you.

Please switch to the pre-release update channel on at least one machine, run update manually and and see if upgrading Endpoint to version 12.0.2038 resolves the issue.
