Administrators Marcos 5,407 Posted October 28 Administrators Share Posted October 28 I'd like to bring our new AI chatbot into your attention: https://support.eset.com/en. To proceed if you have replaced the mobile used for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in ESET Protect, follow these steps: Open the ESET Secure Authentication mobile app on your new device. Tap the “+” icon and scan the QR code displayed in the ESET Business Account. In the ESET Business Account, click Continue. Generate a one-time password in the mobile app by tapping the button displaying your company name. https://help.eset.com/eba/en-US/two_factor_authentication.html
fullstackdev 0
Thanks, but in your step #2, where exactly is this QR code? I'm logged in, I've looked around and asked your chatbot, but I can't find it.
Administrators Marcos 5,407 Posted November 4 Administrators Share Posted November 4 A QR code is displayed when enabling 2FA in EBA or ESET PROTECT Hub.
fullstackdev 0
OK, but the org admin (which I'm not) has enabled that, and on my original phone, I would have followed those steps. I can't turn off the 2FA and then re-enable it, because it's set by the org admin, so I have no way of displaying that QR code. Can't a link be added so that any logged in user can display it? Administrators Marcos 5,407 Posted November 4 Administrators Share Posted November 4 An admin can send you an email with an activation link for 2FA instead of using the QR code.
Solution fullstackdev 0 Posted November 4 Author Solution Share Posted November 4 Thanks. The org admin couldn't find the "email with an activation link" option, but was able to reset my 2FA, so this is now resolve. I do think it should be a little less onerous of a process though. Thanks for your help.
