zakergfx 0 Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 Hello, We have an issue since this tuesday. Almost all of our computers have ESET Service consuming high cpu usage. It consumes like 30-40 % of cpu for no reason. There is no module update, or scan in progress When we reboot computers it is fixed for some hours but then the issue appear again. We are on version 11.1.2052. Can you help us ? Thank you
Administrators Marcos 5,742 Posted October 25, 2024 Administrators Posted October 25, 2024 Please carry on as follows: When the issue occurs, enable advanced operating system logging under Tools -> Diagnostics -> Enable Operating system advanced logging in the advanced setup After 30-60s stop logging Collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive to a safe location (e.g. OneDrive, Dropbox,...) and drop me a personal message with a download link.
Administrators Marcos 5,742 Posted October 28, 2024 Administrators Posted October 28, 2024 It appears that EsetPerf.etl is 0 bytes in size. Did you turn off advanced operating system logging prior to gathering logs with ESET Log Collector? Please make sure that C:\ProgramData\ESET\ESET Security\Diagnostics\EsetPerf.etl is not empty or too small. Peter Randziak 1
zakergfx 0 Posted October 28, 2024 Author Posted October 28, 2024 I indeed forgot to disable it before doing the collection sorry. I will do it again
Administrators Marcos 5,742 Posted October 29, 2024 Administrators Posted October 29, 2024 Please set the dump type to "Full" in the advanced setup -> Tools -> Diagnostics and click OK. When you observe high CPU utilization, click Create: Then either gather fresh logs with ESET Log Collector or supply only "C:\ProgramData\ESET\ESET Security\Diagnostics\ekrn_*.dmp". Peter Randziak 1
