KayeW 0
I received an email with a security alert from ESET social media scanner. See attached jpeg. Is this legitimate? I was somewhat surprised to see my facebook name since I had not used the social media scanner nor was I aware of it at all. The email struck me as being phony and I'm not about to "reactivate protection." Thanks, Kaye
ESET Moderators Peter Randziak 1,084 Posted March 5, 2015 ESET Moderators Share Posted March 5, 2015 Hello, yes the social media scanner sends such notifications, because the ESMS has access granted only for limited period of time so that is why it has to be reactivated. In case you do not remember activation of this service please check it among your Facebook APPS. P.R.
