Device monitor notifies of insecure WiFi network when VPN active

As title says, I am connecting to an insecure shared WiFi network but have a VPN active (Nord VPN).  Despite the VPN connection, I get insecure network warning when trying to make a payment.  Is this a bug?  Should a check for active VPN be made before blocking?

I assume the only thing you can do is disable Wifi in Device monitoring. To make sure there's no other way, please raise a support ticket via the built-in support contact form.
