Eset stop blocking websites

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I’m currently using ESET NOD32 Antivirus and have enabled the feature to block certain websites I tend to overuse, like Instagram and YouTube. While it usually works well, I’ve noticed that occasionally the blocking stops working unexpectedly, and I can access the restricted sites. Restarting my computer temporarily fixes the issue.

Has anyone experienced this or know how to resolve it more permanently?

In order to block Facebook you should enter:
*.facebook.com/*

and similarly block other domains.

Also make sure to disable this setting:

Unfortunately, the issue still occurs. I just turned on my computer from sleep mode and am able to access all previously blocked websites, despite disabling the setting you mentioned. Do you have any other recommendations?

Maybe there's a clash with another software most likely registered in Windows Filtering Platform. I'd recommend raising a support ticket for assistance with further troubleshooting.

If you were able to reproduce the issue easily, please carry on as follows:

  1. Enable advanced logging under Help and support -> Technical support
  2. Reproduce the issue
  3. Stop logging
  4. Collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive here.

Hello,

I placed a ticket as you recommended on 3rd October and received a response that DAGMA is working on it. However, I haven't received any updates since. I followed up a few days ago but still haven't heard back. Could you please verify the status of the ticket?

Ticket ID: NUMER#01633889

Thank you.
