tkrombach 0
Hello, we have a company policy in place to disable the ESET firewall since we rely on the Windows firewall for all our PCs. We have now since a few weeks one PC that show a security warning "The Firewall has been disabled after installation to prevent a network malfunction". Indeed, the ESET firewall is disabled and cannot be activated locally, since there is a policy in place. We do not understand why only this PC shows such a warning, but not all the other PCs. Do you have any explanation for such a behavior?
Administrators Solution Marcos 5,277 Posted October 1 Administrators Solution Share Posted October 1 The said message should be displayed only if you install ESET Endpoint Security locally via Remote Desktop. Did you reboot the pc after installation? If so, please provide logs collected with ESET Log Collector and raise a support ticket as well. tkrombach 0
We took a log and wanted to make a reinstall of the ESET installation but noticed now that the security warning has disappeared. We do not know why this is the case, after 3 weeks of notice. We will monitor this situation and open a ticket should this issue reoccur. Thanks for your help!
