Hi,
I'm getting too many webcam alerts.
I've told eset that I'm fine with different apps using my webcam (thanks for alerting me the first time) but there does not seem to be a simple way to say "do not alert me again for this app".  I remember on another computer that there is an option to do this, but it seems to be buried very deep.

- Can someone provide instructions where to find this option (I've searched on the support site and found nothing)

- Could I request another tick box be added to the webcam permission box that says "Do not ask for this app again"?

Thanks.

Refer to this Eset Knowledgebase article: https://support.eset.com/en/kb7071-create-and-edit-webcam-rules-in-eset-windows-home-products .

Assuming you have allowed the app webcam access and selected "Remember this action" on the Eset alert, a webcam rule would have been created. You need to edit this existing Allow rule and disable the "Notify" setting as shown in the below screen shot;

If you are using mainly Windows Store applications, please wait for v18 which will support them better and no new rules will be needed when the application path changes after an update.

Thank you for the suggestion above - while I've not been able to confirm it works, it looks like it will.
Can I suggest... this is far to complex a solution to turn off the alert - can I request that a check box be added to the initial alert to turn off future alerts?

Thanks.
