Hi

 

I'm getting this on an agent log. Any thoughts to the fix? Other agents are connecting successfully.

 

2015-03-02 15:12:35 Error: CSystemConnectorModule [Thread f74]: CWbemServices: Could not connect. Error code = 0x80080005

 

This agent is connecting to ERA, insofar as the "last connection" time is being updated, but no configuration details are being sent to ERA.

 

Latest versions of ERA and EEA. Machine is Win7 32-bit.

If possible, please report the error to your local Customer care who will subsequently contact ESET for clarification. This is something that engineers need to look at and this forum doesn't provide issue tracking possibilities.

Hi Marcos

 

i think I've found the cause. Security Centre would not start, which prompted me to look at WMI and that would not start either. So I've renamed C:\Windows\WBEM\Repository, rebooted, and now WMI and Security Centre both work AND the agent is communicating again.

 

Whether or not the issues are linked, I don't know, but it seems solved anyway.
