davidenco 1
Why can I not install ERA 6 on a domain controller? We have ERA 5 on our SBS 2008 server running perfectly fine. I just don't see the reason why ERA 6 cannot operate on a domain controller, in this case SBS 2008. Please explain...
jimwillsher 65
It can, there's other threads on this. You need to choose to NOT install SQL Server as part of the install, and instead point it to a different SQL instance (either on another box, or a manual SQL express installation on the SBS box). It'll then be happy. Jim
davidenco 1
I don't understand why the installer can't just install SQL Server Express on the domain controller. If I can do it manually, why can't the installer do it? Seems illogical?! Unless there is a genuine reason for this?
