Bill Paine 0
I'm getting a lot of EFI/CompuTrace.A alerts on endpoints all over my network and subnets. Should I go around and verify that all of my PCs are running current Firmware/BIOS? How do I best evaluate risk? Thans, -Bill
Solution itman 1,751 Posted September 4 Solution Share Posted September 4 Refer to this article; https://support.eset.com/en/kb6567-you-receive-an-eset-uefi-detection . Some PC manufacturers install Computrace on their devices at the factory. Normally, it is installed on commercial grade laptops/notebooks to prevent access to the device in the event the device is stolen. The presence of Computrace on a device does not imply malware but rather the presence of vulnerable software. BlueBear
