Quest137736 0
Hi everyone, When I ran a scan with Norton, ESET displayed the following message 30 times: “Threat removed: A threat (Win64/Riskware.PEMalform.A) was detected in a file Norton Security is trying to access. The file has been removed.” According to the antivirus logs, the threat is associated with C:\Program Files (x86)\ExpressVPN\expressvpn-ui\00020037.tmp. What could be the problem? Thanks in advance for your help!
Solution itman 1,756 Posted September 1 Solution Share Posted September 1 Related posting here: https://forum.eset.com/topic/17402-win32riskwarepemalformi/ . Only one real-time scanning AV should be installed. Otherwise, conflicts will occur between the two real-time scanning AV's. Uninstall Norton or at a minimum, disable its real-time scanning.
