Pentode 13
Nod32 won't scan pagefiles on my computer, I guess because they are in use. I keep a cloned back up once in a while...... what if I scan one of them, since the operating system is not in use if I connect it as a slave, will it THEN scan the page file on the cloned back up? Thanks, Dave.
Solution itman 1,751 Posted August 24 Solution Share Posted August 24 How I handle this issue is to clear the Windows page file on a periodic basis. Here's an article on how to do that: https://www.maketecheasier.com/delete-pagefilesys-shutdown-windows10/ . Note: You must perform a Win restart after setting the registry key value. If you have Windows set to perform fast startup, this won't work; you must perform a Win restart. You will most likely observe a delay during system shutdown after setting the registry value indicating the page file is being cleared. After the system has been restarted, you can then reset the applicable registry key value back to default "0" value. Otherwise, the page file will be cleared at every system restart.
