Administrators Marcos 5,243 Posted August 13 Administrators Share Posted August 13 It is very likely that the files were encrypted irreversibly and the only option to get them back is to use a backup copy, if exists.
bigbear67530 0
These are only personal photos, I didn't have a backup. I tried to contact the pirates but they are asking for a fortune that I don't have.
itman 1,743
The latest ransomware strain targeting individuals is Magniber. As such, there is a high likelihood this is what encrypted your files. Unfortunately, there is no known decrypter for this latest version of Magniber. You can ask for assistance here: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/239/ransomware-help-tech-support/ .
