Follow up to "Win32/Botnet.generic TCP Port Scan attack local network"

Same issue as the post above. Ports (TCP) were as follows:

  • 600
  • 623
  • 7000
  • 7100

Running Process Monitor on one of the target machines revealed PowerShell was the calling process. Windows Defender ATP was downloading a device discovery script.

I'm confused.

Why is MD ATP running on a device with Eset installed? Or is this another device on your local network with only MD ATP running?
