For the past few months ESET Nod32 is extremely laggy and barely opens on Windows 11

I've used ESET NOD32 for a few years. First time I've had issues, lately on Windows 11 when I right click the icon and click Open NOD32 it just straight up wont open for minutes, it sometimes will function properly when I first restart the computer but once the computer has been on for a couple hours it won't. Same thing if I try and scanning a file, sometimes I'll get a popup way later saying scan complete, other times nothing happens at all. I've tried uninstalling / reinstalling but it just seems to be running very badly lately.

My PC is good, nothing else runs like that on here. Ryzen 5600, Geforce 3700, 32 GB of RAM. No idea why it's been doing this lately.

Could you please uninstall ESET, install the latest version 17.2.7 from scratch with default settings and let us know if it made any change? If it didn't, please capture a video to show us what you are doing and supply a Procmon log from an issue demonstration as well.

Do I just upload vid to youtube and link it here? Also do I just attach to procmon file here or do I sent to you guys via email? That what the support article linked says "Attach the .zip file to an email reply to ESET Technical Support. A Technical Support representative will examine the log and respond as soon as possible"

You should be able to insert youtube videos here. Uploaded files (logs) can be accessed only by ESET staff.

K this should be everything. In the vid above that took place about 30 minutes after a restart, it took a bit under 2 minutes for the program to open, that's about the bare minimum I've seen it take, it also can take as long as 5+ minutes or just not open at all.

Please try temporarily uninstalling C:\Program Files (x86)\RivaTuner Statistics Server to see if it makes a difference.

Would just closing it help for testing purposes? It's always running along with MSI afterburner since I have an undervolt going on my GPU and tons custom settings in Rivatuner for all my games. I'd rather not get rid of my settings for all my games, not sure how to back that kind of stuff up.

It seemed to open ok when I just tested with Rivatuner and MSI Afterburner closed just now, I'll try again after I restart and I leave computer on for a couple hours and update later tonight or sometime tomorrow.

If it somehow is Rivatuner interfering with ESET how would I resolve this? Rivatuner is an essential piece of software for gaming.

So I set Rivatuner to ignore egui.exe and I think that may have fixed the issue. I'll test again after I wake up with another restarted PC and letting 1-2 hours go by.

If that really what is causing the issue that's just bizarre lol.

Yea seems like it works fine now. Pretty crazy, I've been using PCs a long time, I've never seen an interaction like that before. Might want to add that to some sort of FAQ if you use Rivatuner set it to ignore the egui.exe or it could cause issues because that was pretty maddening.

Our HIPS developers plan to look into it, I assume that self-defense should be able to block these attempts in the first place.
