Oliver Seddon 0 Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Hello, after migrating from ESET PROTECT Virtual Appliance (Centos) to ESET PROTECT Virtual Appliance (Rocky), the new ESET PROTECT 11.1.14.0 is not available for Updating. Reboots and disabling Proxy have not helped. Regards, Oliver
Administrators Marcos 5,441 Posted July 16 Administrators Posted July 16 When creating an ESET PROTECT component upgrade task, what version of the server do you see in the list? According to https://support.eset.com/en/kb3690, Linux server 11.1.756.0 is the latest available and is included in the ESET PROTECT on-prem release 11.1.14.0.
Oliver Seddon 0 Posted July 17 Author Posted July 17 This is all I see. Attached also the version info.
Administrators Marcos 5,441 Posted July 17 Administrators Posted July 17 So after you run the ESET PROTECT component upgrade task, the server won't be upgraded to v11.1?
Administrators Marcos 5,441 Posted July 17 Administrators Posted July 17 Please raise a support ticket for further troubleshooting of the upgrade issue. If server_linux_x86_64.sh exists in the /tmp folder, are you able to run it manually?
Oliver Seddon 0 Posted July 17 Author Posted July 17 If I run it manually, I get this... In the past I had to change the ODBC Driver using the following KB https://support.eset.com/en/kb8654-eset-protect-virtual-appliance-va-is-crashing-on-rockylinux
Administrators Marcos 5,441 Posted July 17 Administrators Posted July 17 So the MySQL ODBC driver is correctly replaced with the MariaDB one as per the KB? If so, please raise a support ticket for further troubleshooting of the issue.
Solution Oliver Seddon 0 Posted July 17 Author Solution Posted July 17 (edited) Quote I have found the culprit of the issue: When implementing KB8654 I commented out the old database connection string. After removing the line I was able to install the server_linux_x86_64.sh manually. I then hat to also install the new webcolse "era.war" and the new agent manually Thanks for your help. All is fixed now and the topic can now be closed. Edited July 17 by Oliver Seddon
