Jan stoiberg 0 Posted July 10 Posted July 10 I have recently bought a new Laptop updated it, bought, installed and Run ESET on it (Found nothing). I have connected it to my local network. Administrated from my stationary Computer. I have scanned both computers without finding anything. But I keep getting this ESET message on the laptop telling me that: “A network threat is blocked ARP-cache-poisoning-attack A unit (192.168.1.1) on the network is sending me harmful software. It can be an attempt to attack your computer.” (192.168.1.1 is my stationary Computer.) Just as an Info: My stationary is running Windows 10 and the laptop Windows 11 Can anyone please tell me what this is and what I do about it.
itman 1,800 Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Refer to this Eset knowledge base article: https://support.eset.com/en/kb2933-arp-icmp-or-dns-cache-poisoning-attack-in-eset-home-products-for-windows . Since IP address 192.168.1.1 is a valid IP address within your router's generated local subnet range; possibly your router, you will have to create an exclusion for it as shown in the article.
