tadd 0 Posted July 1 Posted July 1 "a newer version of eset management agent is already installed" An error pops up after startup with the above language. ESET is installed on our network. When I look in the registry there is an ESET entry under Run with the ecmds.exe file there. The version is identical to the version installed. It appears that ESET is trying to install over the current version but when it does the version check it errors out. It then fails to remove the registry key from the registry.
Administrators Marcos 5,468 Posted July 2 Administrators Posted July 2 It appears that something is continually pushing an agent installer to the client even if it's already installed. I'd recommend checking the tasks assigned to dynamic groups as it's likely that a software install task is sent to the machine when it falls in a particular dynamic group.
