Microbe 6
Hi ESET Team, Can you help us with below concern of our client : When the VPN is enabled I get the following message and cannot receive emails in Outlook. When I disconnect the VPN I then receive emails. I also had to disconnect the VPN for the reCaptcha to successfully complete. Error Message.Task 'email - Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your incoming (POP3) email server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).' Since, during the support he didn't mention that he is using ESET VPn, so i tried to advised him to allow the ip address of the VPN Can you check the attached file. Administrators Marcos 5,250 Posted May 28 Administrators Share Posted May 28 I don't think that VPN would block the communication, there's rather a communication problem between the VPN server and the email server that should be troubleshooted with the help of the email service provider. Does it help if the user configures the DNS server to Google DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 instead of obtaining the address automatically? Couldn't it be that the email server accepts connections only from particular IP ranges/subnets?
