Long scan with EOS

6 hours and 45 mins for a scan in all the frustration I felt lucky I just did the newest SSD drive witch is only 300 GB, if i did everything I guess I would received the results in afterlife some how.

The scan time depends on the number and type of files you select to scan. If you have a number of disk images for instance with hundreds of thousands of files inside, scanning them would always take time as each file would need to be unpacked and then scanned.

Please install a trial version of ESET and try running a scan again. Unlike an installed ESET product, the online scanner scans all objects and does not use Smart optimization which is equivalent to running an in-depth scan that takes long. Moreover, an installed ESET product takes advantage of all CPU cores to run multiple scans in parallel. You could even speed up Smart scans by unselecting the registry, WMI and archives.
