Hello everybody. Recently eset found a virus that cannot be removed. 4 identical ones were deleted and 2 more were not.

It said a threat has been detected in the firware and you need help. How do I delete it? Thanks.

It is possible to delete it but you must be extremely careful what you delete, otherwise you could render the system unbootable:

  1. Run as administrator:
    mountvol /s x:
  2. On drive X: delete the files detected by ESET. Caution: Do not delete any other files.
  3. Run as administrator:
    mountvol /d x:

thanks!
commands for me that works in windows 11 slightly different
mountvol x: /s
mountvol x: /d
and I also managed to see drive x only through Explorer++ with admin
and there I didn't find all the files but cleaned them just by clicking local disk x scan by eset through Explorer++ and then he cleaned them.
