Some descriptions on virusradar.com redirect to the "Latest descriptions"

Recommended Posts

On virusradar.com I saw quite many descriptions which seem to have an issue.

For example take this search for a "threat" where I recently wanted to link to. Now click on a description, e.g. this one (hxxp://virusradar.com/en/Win32_SlowPCfighter.A/description) and instead of showing you information about the thread it redirects you to the "Latest description" site...

And this is only one example of a threat (with a "redirection issue")...

So obviously there is something wrong...

I can confirm that I also get redirected to the "latest descriptions" list.

We don't have any details available for adware and PUAs so that's probably why you couldn't find any.

But shouldn't there still be a site like this or this?

At least it would be useful to display a site. (it can still display the detection date and the activity e.g.)

I think even displaying a nearly empty site is better than displaying nothing. (which looks like it would be a bug - or maybe it even is a bug?)

No this issue is not only about PUA...

Also none of the information about Wajam are working...

Win32/Wajam.A potentially unwanted application. Have you found actual malware where the above mentioned issue manifests?

Until yet - no. But I still say that there should be a site for every thread. (At least a site displaying "We are sorry, but we have no more information about this threat" or something like this)

A simple redirection is confusing...

E.g. I couldn't even found out that Wajam is a PUA, because this wasn't stated at virusradar... because there was no site. :(

So I thought it would be something else...
