Recommended Posts

As the title says, a weird detection in Ark Survival Ascended from MS Game Pass, a win64/Packed.VMProtected.AA

(C:\XboxGames\255C5832-B617-4A9F-9675-43805B61315E\Content\ShooterGame\Binaries\WinGDK\BattlEye\BEClient_x64.dll;модифицированный Win64/Packed.VMProtect.AC)

Should i add an exception to this file or is it bad idea?

It's your call on this.

A lot of protected software is indeed malicious: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/2458797c79310507f720eeeb797684f57e8803005634cd0cf1378f208698dd3c?nocache=1 .

Thanks for your time, it is a file from legit not pirated game, i think it could be a False Positives...

Recently, some antivirus software flagged files related to legitimate games using anti-cheat software (like BattlEye or Easy Anti-Cheat). These were likely false positives due to how the anti-cheat systems use code protection.
