New error event - eamsi.dll did not meet Windows signing level requirements.

Recommended Posts

I get this repeated error message in event viewer in the last 2 days. Is a new update at fault?

Code Integrity determined that a process (\Device\HarddiskVolume3\Windows\System32\SecurityHealthService.exe) attempted to load \Device\HarddiskVolume3\Program Files\ESET\ESET Security\eamsi.dll that did not meet the Windows signing level requirements.

It is a benign message that should be ignored. The said process is Windows protected and attempted to load the AMSI provider which failed because only Windows components can be loaded into Windows protected processes.
