Suspicious application detected

Recommended Posts

I have GoToMyPC installed on a machine, and ESET Endpoint

Over the past few days, I have been getting an alert / detection that C:\ProgramData\GoToMyPC\PDFPrinterSetup\PDFPrinterDriver.msi contains Win64/Packed.Themida.L

This file has been in use for a number of years, and this is the first time that I have ever received an alert.

When I restart the computer, I get the same alert again, even though Eset is saying that the file has been removed.

Anyone got any ideas?

The application is protected with Themida and is most likely not signed to lower the level of suspiciousness. You can submit the file to ESET via the built-in submission form. However, any future version can be detected unless the vendor starts signing the files or quits using Themida.
