How to edit pre-defined rules (grey rules) ?

Recommended Posts

Hey there,

as I am using dnscrypt I want to make a simple rule in ESET: Only allow DNS requests over the dnscrypt port + IP.

The default DNS rule from ESET says "allow dns for dns port for every IP". When I right click it then I can't edit it. Is there any way to disable this single rule and to create my own or to edit the pre-defined rule?

Thanks

Pre-defined rules cannot be edited. You can only disable them and create your own rules. Anyways, I'm not sure what default rule you were referring to by "allow dns for dns port for every IP".

How can I disable "one single" pre-defined rule?

I am talking about the svchost rule called "allow outgoing dns requests"

@edit: nevermind I found it... wow was I blind :)

I also easily managed to create my own rule to force dns requests only via dnscrypt. Thanks to ESET's easy interface ;)
