Unistall Agent with command line

Recommended Posts

hi guys

I have a number of injets disconnected from the console in the local network and I want to delete them using the command line. This method is related to the agents whose password is not set, if my agents all have passwords and this The command cannot be executed. In which part can the password be placed?

  • Administrators

You should run:
msiexec /x %GUID% /quiet

where GUID of a particular agent version can be found under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall.

  • Marcos changed the title to Unistall Agent with command line

And if a password is set, you should use the /qb switch to add the password.

MsiExec.exe /qn /norestart /X{GUID} /qb password="your_password"

Hi FRIC

thank you for response , what's meaning of {GUID}?

What parameters should be set?

GUID can be found in the appropriate application key under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall as mentioned above.

thanks marcos

one question:

Is the GUID different for each system? Or is it different for each version of the agent?

hi marcos

Where can I find the GUID of all products in one place? I mean it is fully provided by the eset company

I recall that technical support has a batch file that removes older versions of agents and has all GUID included. Please raise a support ticket.

Yes, if you raise a support ticket, further communication with technical support is typically via email.
