EIS Firewall Interactive Mode without Interactive Popups

When the firewall is in interactive mode, the interactive interface will occasionally not pop up when there is network access, and then you can only reboot the system, this problem has existed for many years!

Does the issue occur if Windows is fully started, the screen is not locked and this setting is turned off?

Do you have the latest version 17.0.16 installed? Have you tried uninstalling ESET and installing the latest version from scratch using default settings except interactive mode set and the above setting turned off?

Thanks for the answer, it does look like this is causing the problem, I did run the game before this problem occurred and ESET didn't automatically switch back to non-game mode after the game was closed, I've turned off the Auto Enable Game Mode option completely.
Thanks again for your help.

Please check if gamer mode deactivates properly after quitting the game running in full screen mode by temporarily enabling diagnostic logging verbosity in the advanced setup. When disabled, an interactive firewall dialog should pop up.
