ESET exchanges certificates

ESET NOD32 Antivirus | EAV-74108169 replaces all existing certificates with an ESET certificate during the update. There is no question as to whether the user agrees to this. I have an application hosted on a server at a data center that has now stopped working. The application requires a very specific certificate. How can I prevent unwanted certificate exchange? Otherwise the update purchase was a bad investment!

Please elaborate more on what certificate you are referring to. Basically you can't affect how ESET sign its files. When a particular certificate is about to expire or if Microsoft sunsets support for a particular type of signing, any vendor must use a new certificate.
