Inactive device protected?

Recommended Posts

I had to send my Windows 11 laptop in for repair.  On ESET Home, it is listed as a device connected to account but has note that "it has been inactive for a longer period...

It does not say protected under it like my desktop computer that is on the same subscription. I have laptop back and am trying to set everything up again. Is it still protected or is there something I need to do to re-activate protection for this device? See no logo in taskbar

If you are referring to these notifications, it means the device has not connected to ESET HOME for the given time period. It doesn't say anything about the protection status since there has been no connection with the device for a longer time:

It was disconnected for less than a month. Hard drive was replaced, Windows 10 re-installed and when the laptop was returned,  I upgraded it to Windows 11. I had used external hard drive to back up before repair and restore folders after.

I am using the laptop now and have for 2 days. I'm attaching screenshot of the notification that I just took. What do I need to do  to make sure it is protected? I could not find a phone number to call so came here for help.

Click the three dots to the right of the device name and select Disconnect to free up the seat so that you can then reactivate it and re-connect to ESET HOME again:
