ERA 6.1 force clients to sync

Hi,

How can I with:

ESET Remote Administrator (Server), Version 6.1.265.0
ESET Remote Administrator (Webconsole), Version 6.1.212.0

 

 force the clients to sync the settings manually ?

Hi,

I am not sure if this is what you mean, but if your client connection interval is set to let's say 20 minutes and you need a client to connect immediately, you can send a so-called "wake-up call" (it is one of the options after clicking the client in the client list). A specifically formatted packet will be sent to the client (in case your network architecture allows for it) and it will connect back to ERA right away.

When you say network segment, do you mean a client with a different subnet ? or a client receiving an IP from a totally different DHCP server or router etc ?

If the server can see the client and if the client is able to communicate with the ERA server, i am pretty sure it will work as you hope.

I mean on another geographical location but able to connect to each other.

Server 192.168.10.10 and client is 192.168.20.10 (for example).

If a ping from the server to the client can go through, the wake-up call will work just fine, regardless of the geographical location. Network connectibility is important.
