Lukas Hromadko 0
Hello, I have issue on multiple servers (examples: Windows Server 2019 Datacenter and Windows Server 2022 Datacenter) with installing new version of ESET Management agent. I made a new GPO to automatically install ESET Management agent which work fine on new computers, but started spamming error logs on servers, which already had older version of the agent. I disabled the GPO and manually removed the older version. That worked fine, but when I tried to install newer version it never finished. I then tried to install it with logging, but I am unable to find anything concrete in there. I tried installer from ESET Protect server and even from official website download page. None worked. I have config file with the installer present. Might you help me with this issue? Log files in attachment. Thank youinstall_02.loginstall_01.log

Administrators Marcos 4,935 Posted October 19 Administrators Share Posted October 19 On servers with agent already installed you should upgrade it via an ESET PROTECT update component task instead of re-deploying the agent via GPO:
Lukas Hromadko 0
I know about this, but for some reason the pushed update said, it was finished but when I checked locally, the old version was still installed.
Solution Lukas Hromadko 0 Posted October 20 Author Solution Share Posted October 20 Well I solved the GPO issue by copying registry info about the apt being installed from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group Policy\AppMgmt to to every pc, that had issue with the app already being installed prior the existence of the GPO. And I had to manually uninstall every problematic Management agent with the uninstaller that has to run in safe mode.
