License problem - wrong region?

I purchased a license 3 years ago and it worked normally until recently. The license is valid until January 14, but at this moment I am receiving an error. It shows that the license is not intended for the Polish market (I live here). Why could I legally use it earlier and is there a way to make it work for me by January 14th? eh? Everything was bought legally, but the company that sold it no longer exists... 3AJ-7FW-BBK

I bought it legally in Poland on Allegro.pl. Everything was fine for over 2.5 years and suddenly there was such a problem? If there was something wrong, why did ESET allow me to use it until now? The problem is that the seller is unreachable, but if ESET had already informed me that it was not a license for Poland, I would have had a chance to get my money back. Today I feel cheated not only by the seller but also by ESET...

It appears Eset has tightened its license validation processing and now performing locality checks on previously installed installations.

Allegro is an online market where virtually everybody can sell, something like Aliexpress or Ebay. My understanding is that somebody purchased cheap licenses in India and sold them on Allegro before geo restrictions were activated on the license batch. Have you recently uninstalled and reinstalled ESET that you need to re-activate it now? We didn't block updates so if the license was used for activation in the past updates should still download fine.

As for purchasing a license at online markets, we do not recommend it as you may easily become a victim to scam. Instead we recommend purchasing from a local authorized ESET distributor or reseller.
